It's Beginning To Look Alot Like Christmas.....

We received our first dusting of snow that "stuck" overnight last night. I think we had some flurries a couple of weeks back but we didn't really have any snow on the ground. I just love the way everything looks after a fresh snow fall. A winter wonderland.....

Our back deck with snow from the night before.

We actually got the tree up this weekend. It looks so pretty. I really am in the mood for Christmas! And the husband put up lights on the outside of the house. We were both feeling ambitious this weekend! By the way, yes, that is a Santa hat on the top of the tree. :) I don't have a tree topper so I just threw it up there for fun. I need to find something but can't decide what to buy. I'm on a mission!

First Big Screen Kiss

Madeline went to her friend Lukas' house earlier this week for a play date and the two were caught smooching! We always get the cutest pictures of these two!

Kissy kiss!

Playing it cool, like nothing happened. :)

Madeline can't seem to keep her fingers out of her mouth lately. Could she be teething???

Bring on the Holidays!

This year I am so ready for the Christmas holiday! Last year I spent December 15 through 30 in the hospital on bed rest and having Madeline so Christmas didn't really happen for me. I had family come up to celebrate but it's just not the same. So this year I'm super excited for Christmas and having our first Christmas with Madeline.

We had a busy weekend with visits from both my mom and my husband's mom & dad. We did some shopping on both Saturday and Sunday with the grandparents.

I just love snowmen and Santa's. If found this cute one while out shopping today. This marks my official kick-off to the holdiay season.
Madeline loved this cute rocking horse we saw at the mall.

Thursday Baby Playdate

I really look forward to our Thursday playdate each week. This week it was at Madeline's friend Jenna's house. It's so fun to see how our young babies interact with each other. At one point Madeline was petting Jenna on the head. I joke that Madeline has hair envy because she's always interested in peoples hair and doesn't have much of her own.
The kiddo's playing.

Fun Day Shopping & At The Park

Madeline and I had a fun outing today. We started out by doing a little shopping. We got some really cute things for Maddie at the Gap. Believe me we don't shop at the Gap much. Most of Maddie's clothes were purchased used on eBay or at a consignment sale or shop but once in awhile you have to splurge!

After shopping it was such a nice day for mid-November (60-some degrees and sunny) that we had to go to the park for a walk. It was just beautiful. We were there for an hour and a half and Madeline even got to swing.
Madeline's all smiles.

Swinging in the park.

What a happy girl!

Big Girl Chair

Last night we dug out and put together the high chair my dad bought for Madeline. She did pretty good in it at first but then things went down hill fast.

I think she really was just getting tired in general but I thought these pictures were too cute. The bib she was wearing explains it all.
What a face. We were not happy. :( "Get me out of this chair!"

Madeline Happy Feet

We've really been enjoying watching Madeline in her jumper. She is oh so happy when we put her in it. She gets those feet moving so fast some times that she looks like a tap dancer. Let's just call her Madeline Happy Feet! Check out the video below...

Finally Moving to the Crib

I know it's long overdue but we're finally moving Miss Madeline out of the cradle in our room to her own big girl room and into the crib. I'm sure it will be harder on me than her. I worked on getting everything in order today and we played around in the crib for awhile. Madeline has napped and played in her crib in the past but has never spent yet one night in the crib so today (tonight) is her big day!

Hanging out in the crib. (Nice drool on the shirt, I know.)

She did some rolling around.

Just chillin'.

Thursday Playdate

Thursdays are Madeline's baby playdates each week. We either go to someone's home or a public location with our babies so they can play and socialize. And it gives us moms some much needed adult interaction as well since we are stay at home mommies.

Madeline was really showing off her new moves today while standing up at the Fisher Price activity table. I couldn't believe how long she would stand up at a time. Her little legs are really getting strong!

Here she is playing at the activity table with one of her little friends.

Pow, right in the kisser! Don't mess with Maddie!

Happy Election Day!

It's election night and we're just hanging out watching the election results coverage. At this point things aren't looking so good for McCain.

We had Madeline's second round of professional photographs taken today. We had her in a red satiny dress that looks so cute and Christmasy. And we had our first family pictures taken at the same time. I'm so excited to see the proofs, I can't wait! The last pictures of her were taken in June so she was pretty much just laying there at that point. This time she is sitting unsupported. We'll have the next ones taken in March. It's hard to imagine that she'll probably be standing on her own and possibly walking by then! She will be right at 1 year (adjusted age) by then.

Speaking of standing she's finally standing for very short periods of time. And the only thing that entices her enough to do it is the laptop computer. She's CRAZY for the laptop! I actually got a couple of pictures of her before she dropped to the floor...

Here goes...

Hi everyone. This is my first official post, how exciting! I've been reading a few of my friends blogs for awhile and am an internet JUNKIE so have wanted to create my own but was dragging my feet for some reason. It's a little nerve-wracking putting your life out there for everyone to read about without any control. So here it is!

I wanted to share an absolutely cute pic of my baby girl from the pumpkin patch. My little Madeline is 10 months old but was born 11 weeks early so is more like a 7 1/2 month old. She is our little miracle baby and was just 1 pound 7 ounces when she was born.
