Friday Fun with Lukas & New Shoes

On Friday we went to visit Madeline's friend Lukas for the day. Seems like forever since we've gotten together due to the holidays. Lukas had a special birthday present for Madeline, which she just loved - some new black Pediped shoes! She just can't wait to wear them!

It was a nice day on Friday so after playing at the house we took the babies out in their strollers for a walk and stopped by the park to swing and slide. Madeline just loves to swing!

New Year's Eve Fun!

Madeline had a playdate (our family Christmas get-together) with her cousin Ava on New Year's Eve. It was so fun to see them together. Ava is a year older than Madeline, almost 2. It was too funny to see her bossing Madeline around. Being the youngest with 5 older sisters she probably liked finally having someone smaller than her.

Look Who is One Year Old Today....

Yes, my little pink princess turned one today! Yeah! Last year at this time she was 1 pound 7 ounces in the NICU and hooked up to all sorts of tubes to help her breathe, eat, and give her medicine. It's hard to believe that this is that same tiny little helpless baby, she is so full of life today! What a miracle!

We didn't have a party or anything fancy for her today but we did take her out for some ice cream, her favorite! Yummy! We'll have her first birthday party in a couple of months when she should have been born. It will be easier to have it away from the holidays.

And guess what the little stinker learned to do on her first birthday? Pull up and crawl up the step from our living room area to the rest of the house! Our lives will never be the same! No more containing this little monkey. :)

Madeline's First Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! Today is Madeline's first Christmas and tomorrow is her first birthday. I can't believe how quickly this past year has gone!

We had a nice day today both my mother and stepdad and my husband's parents came to celebrate Christmas with us. We opened presents, watched Madeline play with some new toys, and ate ourselves silly!

Madeline with Tree

Madeline found a tree just her size. This tree is an antique that was given to me by my late grandparents many years ago. I like that I'll be able to pass it on to Madeline to share with her own family one day. I thought it would make for a cute Christmas lights picture.

I had so much fun yesterday getting Madeline's Christmas pictures taken. They turned out so cute it was hard to pick which ones to make prints of. Below are just a few samples of some of the proofs. I was able to get a CD of all pictures taken so I can share them via email and on here. She sure looks like daddy!
