Maddie's Boo boo...

That face says it all...poor Maddie had her first trip to the emergency room last Thursday after tripping and falling on the front step of our house. She fell face first on the wood on the threshold of the door. She skinned up her nose but the worst blow was to her brow area where she had 7 stitches (one inside and 6 on the surface). The picture above was pre-stitches. It was pretty deep like 1/4 inch which doesn't sound like much but is pretty deep in your skin. Madeline was so brave though and didn't cry at all during the hospital visit. During the last stitch her eyes did well up with tears a little but she never cried out loud. So brave!

I am worried that she will have a scar but hopefully her eyebrow will cover it up. It's been 6 days now and it's healing well thank goodness. I hope we don't have many more trips like that to the hospital in our future. Not fun at all!!!
