Kite Festival and Big Rigs!

Today we had a fun family day! One stop was the Flights of Fancy kite festival in Lee's Summit. There were tons of people there flying their own kites plus professional kite people with some HUGE kites, like 100 feet long!!! Sadly for them during the afternoon when we were there the wind decided to die down so they had a hard time getting the big kites up and flying. It was still a good time!

Madeline liked the clown fish kites. "We found Nemo"!

I'm not sure if you can really tell by the photo but the kite in the middle was really big! Neat so see them fly!

Peeking out from behind a big flag.

Hello world!

Neat dragon kite.

Watching one of the big kites trying to take off!

These things were pretty cool!

Madeline got to make her own kite too.

And she had alot of fun just running up and down the hill. Ahhh, the simple pleasures of life!

Maddie participated in a parachute race. She didn't win but it was still fun.

Is this thing coming???

This morning we also stopped by a Big Trucks and Rigs show that benefited the Special Olympics. Maddie got to check out lots of different vehicles. Great experience for her!

She got to hit the sirens too!

Hope this is the only time we see her in the back of one of these!!!

Watch out, Farmer Maddie coming through!

She really liked this one!

Super fun day!
